Creating Lynda's Masterpiece

We choose to create a unique artwork that expresses Lynda's Spirit and what she loves.

Vision

Lissa: Lynda's spirit loves danger, challenge and the exhilaration of life. You have infinate wisdom, and innate beauty at the same time. This peice of artwork will show you your strength and power, how you love to be at the top of the mountain, looking at all below. You have the strength of the sun, wings of an eagle and wisdom of a sorceress.
It is calm, yet dangerous. Light yet strong, both in substance and theme. Contrasts of light and dark. Playing with sillouttes, light and shadow. Floating movement and solid foundation.

Lynda: wow! Lots of contrast which is exactly what I got... my spirit is light, playful and innocent, yet adventurous, fearless and wise. It is grounded and earthly, yet etheral and mystic. A real dichotomy which I can easily fly from one side to the other. My symbols were very similar yet completely contrasting with each other, vulnerability and innocence, combined with strength and wisdom, all of these easily and effortlessly eminating when my spirit chooses.

Lissa :It will also show you your amazing focus, how you can identify and hone in on your goal from long distance away. Your clarity of intent, and your direct hit to your end result. It will remind you of what a powerful creator you are...
This really reaffirms what I got last time too, about the changing from one thing to another.
The piece will represent your feminine beauty and softness, and also the powerful and mysterious sexuality. Your desire to express yourself and the beauty in that.

Our Ego's Illusion:

Lissa: My Illusion is that I will never be able to achieve this task, its all just us imagining this, and it is useless. We are delusional. I think I am doing this for the money, but don't believe I will get any money for it. I don't want to get dirty. I have no vision or excitement in my ideas for use of materials. I can't see past the traditional artmaking materials. I feel overwhelmed and under qualified for the task ahead. I also think it has to be a certain look, no colour or personality. My ego thinks I don't have to power to fearless fully express myself artistically, fearlessy, regardless of the consequences.

Lynda: My ego thinks that I cant live up to your vision, that I can't be in my spirit and live it fearlessly without people judging me or not liking what they see. Ego also doubts there is any truth in the vision!! I'm a fraud basically. My ego thinks I can't cope. That I will want to be in hiding, even at my own spirit's celebrations.

What our spirit's know we need to do to get to the vision.... (Action steps)

Lissa: I need to hang out the washing (yes, actually I do!) : Seriously, I need to play with movement, texture and lighting as a study leading up to your piece. Practice and play with materials such as cotton, silk and become familiar with its characteristics in movement, and explore techniques of capturing its natural essence and form when moving. Be in the moment. Enjoy the sensory experience of this.
I need to indulge my senses...go skinny dipping, run through a field with no shoes on, stand in the rain and bugger getting wet, eat a mango and let it drip all over my face! Smell Jai after he's done a poo and then after I've bathed him.
This will serve me for all the wonderful spirit pieces that I am going create for people, not just Lynda, because from this space (of mind and heart), I can tangibly create what is in the spirit realm. (oh my god, I'm so excited at the prospect of doing more of these!) HOW FUN! I feel fortunate that i have discovered this
I always knew there was more...
that there was magic...
now we have the tools to live our greatness,. yay!

I have a gift which is my art, I am an artist and the world needs to see that!!!

Lissa: Lynda, I get that its important for you to be really aware of what you are putting in your body. Enjoy nourishing yourself with foods you love and explore healthy snacks. Simple, healthy, vitamin packed foods often, especially when you are eating by yourself. Make it fun, not a chore.

Lynda: that's interesting...I tuned into my vision of my 2006 and it was all about health and moderation, with food and excercise
Tuned into that 2 weeks ago.

Lissa: It makes a lot of sense if your end result is to have a baby....it will make it so much easier for you if you are jumping out of your boots with vitality!

Lynda: yes, I have been thinking about that a lot today, I really don't know how I am going to create that one.

Lissa: but you will magically! Just like you created your house.

Lynda:My action steps were to be fearless in expressing my true nature, like with the abba thing on the weekend. True nature has been revealing itself and I like it more and more, I could have almost become an extrovert after Saturday night!
action steps for me are to keep doing that, fearlessly and from the heart.

Lissa: Yeah, just acknowledge them, and then KNOW you have already created your choice, you will recieve it when you are ready...
because then you'll attract the perfect soul mate who loves your true nature... it all makes sense...

Update: 2006:03:10

Well, I have been procrastinating for so long now. I know exactly what I have to do, and have sat down to do it numerous times. I am so excited about Lynda's Spirit Portrait, but feel overwhelmed by the scope of the vision of it, and so have not odne anything about it for 2 weeks or so...

I need to measure up the dimensions of the piece and make a prototype out of paper to get the dimensions right, then I need to get quotes using different materials.

OK, enough, I'm going to do it after this...

Update 2006: 3rd May
Ok, I am recommitting to this project.

I felt so overwhelmed by it, and so scared I won't live up to my expectations.

BUT, I have mocked up the size on paper. I need to play with silk, need to make a prototype with silk. Paint on silk, dip it in ink, experiment with layering peices of silk. I need to get quotes for the brushed aluminium slab that will be the backing, and talk to an electrician or someone about the lighting I want to install in the back of the peice.
