Welcome

Me Lissa Maloney :: artist, designer, creator...

Pure Creative Spirit is a creation of my heart to express myself through the medium of art and design, and to connect other people to their own pure creative spirit.

I am free to create as I please, in whatever medium I choose. I travel around the world, experiencing life in the fullest. I live with people in their own culture, living as one of them, connecting with them from my heart. I am in love with learning, and will do so all my life.

I then use these experiences as my inspiration for my next collection of artworks. I love my life. It shows in my artwork. I have created the lifestyle that I wanted, I travel, I create, I celebrate, I rest. My life works in season. I follow my intuition to create experiences that highlight my create spirit.

My art is exhibited in galleries around the world. I am commisioned by extraordinary people to create what their heart would love.

I run workshops in different parts of the world where I am both the teacher and the student. I help people learn how to connect to their heart, and create their own artworks. I learn so many things from them as well. I participate in the workshops, delighting in the synergy of the group, each one different.

If you would like to know how you can connect with your own Pure Creative Spirit, come and join me in a Workshop or series of Online Sessions, or contact me to find out more.

and capture the experience.
I choose to create Bubushka dolls.

I choose to create the time and space to create what I love.

The Invitation

I love this piece of writing. It is so beautiful and inspiring.
It was written by ORIAH MOUNTAIN DREAMER, INDIAN ELDER, in May 1994.

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for,
And I dare to dream of your heart’s longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love,
For your dreams,
For the adventure of being alive.
It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon.
I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow,
If you have been opened by life’s betrayals,
Or have become shriveled and closed form the fear of future pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own,
Without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own,
If you can dance with wilderness
And let ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes
Without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic,
Or to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true,
I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself,
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul.
I want to know if you can be faithful and therefore be trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty even when it’s not pretty every day,
And if you can source your life from it’s presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours or mine,
And still stand on the edge of a lake
And shout to the silver of the full moon “YES!”
It doesn’t interest me to know where you live,
Or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up after a night of grief and despair,
Uneasy and bruised to the bone,
And do what needs to be done for the children.
It doesn’t interest me who you are, or how you came to be here.
I want to know what if you will stand in the centre of the fire and not shrink back.
It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you from the inside, when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself
And if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.
